However, if those shots of the "audio systems" are an indicator of the future of car audio, I can only laugh. I wouldn't be caught dead or voluntarily within 100 yards of any vehicle sporting such gear. What a sh.t box. I sneer at cars like that, and their owners, whenever they pass me by. Joke-of-the-century, new-world-order bullhorns for foolios, posers, and tone-deaf aggro boys who are in desperate need an a.s kicking.

Pininfarina has got to clean house, and embrace Italian design yet again, everything they do lately has GLARING styling flaws.

>>However, if those shots of the "audio systems" are an indicator of the >>future of car audio, I can only laugh. I wouldn't be caught dead or [quoted text clipped - 4 lines] > > Oh dear... Nothing like a Norwood TR then? Hell no. This is a completely different issue - brimming with its own problems, certainly, but still entirely alien compared with the issue of the NTR. That, to me, is a performance issue; had I thought the NTR was no different than a Fiero-arri I would have shown the same kind of ire I reserve for things like that. Can you believe it's the same brand of ire I pour out freely for doofuses who think that 29 large speakers producing bass so loud it can't actually even be heard inside their car (though it makes all the metalwork on the vehicle flap, flex, and rattle) is a cool thing and completely socially acceptable.
You can't know how many dickheads I have watched pull up to a stop light, open any window that isnh't already opened, and then turn it up super loud for the duration of the stop period? As soon as they pull away the windows go up and the sounds go down. Now what was the purpose of the little traffic-light display? In my opinion, it was a plea for a bullet to the back of the head. But that's just my opinion. Others would probably answer differently.
BTW, enough with the "polemic", already. There will be no profligate ten-dollar-word tossing around here.
> http://pyrus.escharlamotor.org/mondial/imagepages/image36.html > ...Headlights designed in a vacuum and just tacked on to the latest > project, or "just me"? I agree ... and then they show up again, visually butchered, on the C6 Corvette, and I have to work to control the gag reflex.
I just can't get around the new V8 model, to me the entire 360 Modena line and all its offshoots could be erased from the History of Ferrari and it wouldn't be a big loss.
To me, I said.

That's a fine filly. Maybe Ferrari needs to bust out the cookie jar and head over to Alfa for a little raid ...

The pictures make it appear as a mere restyling of an already arguable design (I never liked the Modena).
In real it is a beautiful car, looking smaller than it is, with an impression of strength and performance. Specially in silver grey (http://pyrus.escharlamotor.org/mondial/imagepages/image33.html). Even though I think it's a pity that all Ferraris are now better in grey or black than in red.

And I admit that I spewed hatred for the Enzo all over the place until I saw one in the flesh and being thrased around in some videos. The "real" can be pretty visceral, so I will reserve final judgement (for my own edification anyway), but until then I consider it open season.

Yup, I followed the same path as far as the Enzo is concerned.
But is is true that these cars need some efforts to like them, whereas many previous Ferraris (or the Maranello) have that "obvious" beauty which provokes love at first sight.
There also is the 612 Scaglietti on display at Paris Motor Show. Even after a long look at it, I definitely don't like it.

I haven't even taken a picture of it...... I must say that I don't remember the exact colour, but I think I've seen other 612 better looking than the one exposed.
By the way...... i'm invited to Lamborghini stand, maybe a tour on a Roadster for next week...... :-D

As far as the car show girls, the umbrella girls, all models, Paris Hilton, etc. To me they are all "keening whores" (I like that, btw). And you know the old saying ... "If you're never going to be with one, hate their guts!"
Well, you probably don't know it, because I made it up.
But that's my prerogative, as a card-carrying member of the do-nothing, contribute-nothing, living-out-the-string Disabled Americans Club. If I'm not able to concentrate on the things I should be doing with my life, then there's nothing better than mastering the art of being a loutish oaf all the time!
