...an Aston Martin DB5. That's right, a 1965 DB5 in silver, 66000 miles, US
spec, Dunlop wire wheels and all...
Okay okay, actually I steered and hit the brakes as we towed it back from
where it stopped when the fuel pump went out. So I've turned, stopped, and
pushed an Aston Martin DB5. Next time I get to drive...
It belongs to a friend's father who has owned it since new IIRC. He's
freshening it up for the old man and we were headed down the carriageway to
the petrol station when Mr David Brown the Fifth started sputtering and
things got all pear-shaped...
*cough*
I mean, we fired that bitch up, took off for the Pump-and-Munch, and the
fuel pump took a sh.t.
Funniest part for me was when an older guy came up asking us what help he
could offer, noting he had previously owned a DB2. What are the chances?
Another guy in a minivan rolled up with this to offer: "Beautiful! ...but
what is it?!"
Definitely a gorgeous car, pictures just don't do them justice... Sounded
great, tons of neat features, did I mention it was gorgeous..?
-Matt- "It was gorgeous."
