What a f.cking idiot you are. Do you even listen to yourself, or have you already decided that your mouth is an open arsehole and you don't care what comes out of it? You don't deserve to even appear in this group; alas, the Internet is an open forum. Good thing you're in Russia - nice and freezing cold most of the year. I hope you get hit by a Testarossa, owned by a Russian gangster, of course, tomorrow morning. f.cking moron!

You might consider engaging in normal conversation first, before shamelessly trolling for an argument with lame insults.
Don't get me wrong, plenty of people dislike the Testarossa, considering it 80's excess at it's worst, but you're coming across like a total tool...

As it is obvious that your opinion of the TR is quite deep-rooted, I won't pursue the argument. But I can't retract my lash, sorry. There are Ferrari models I don't particularly care for, but considering my feelings about Ferrari I would never go into the sewer to serve up an opinion. You are probably a troll, certainly not a Ferrari owner or not likely even an enthusiast. A real Ferrari admirer just wouldn't go there, no matter how much they disliked one model or another. Even my first, quite negative, opinions of the Enzo carried themselves with a bit of class (compared to your spew, anyway).

The TR is emblematic of several non trivial illnesses resident in Ferrari at its time: A loss of engineering sharpness, a lack of design focus, the loss of corporate vision and purpose, excessive influence of FIAT's political and financial turmoils, and by no means least, it was the harbinger of a lamentable period of styling mediocrity which to no small extent still pervades the company even while their engineering excellence is renewed and unparalleled.
What it is, is a styling and design abomination, what it represents is far worse.
MC - 09 Nov 2004 07:54 GMT > What it is, is a styling and design abomination, what it represents is > far worse. Intelligently written, all of that. But just remember, it's your opinion - and only that. Sonny Crockett sure liked *his* Testy.
All of us here, at one time or another, have been slapped down for trying to force an opinion down everybody's throat as if it were the Ten Commandments plummeting from heaven. Remember that, Grasshopper, and if you want you too can enjoy a long and fruitful career here as an AAF regular. Even though I believe I recently called you a f.cking idiot (and the same type of moron, to boot), I must admit that I like your style. (And anyway, some folks would call that simply a form of baptism ...)
In fact, on those days when my own style deserts me, may I borrow yours?

These are however serious and cogent questions. To pretend the TR is not a steaming turd is to devalue the beautifully crafted designs which came before (for the record I was absolutely livid at the time when the TR was revealed), to ignore the stunning engineering excellence effected since (the 288-on drivetrain configuration is vastly superior in a mid-rear engined car, as is the 275/365/550's in a GT), while acquiescing to the mundane and even somewhat revolting styling executions of today (the 550/575's Supra nostril, most of the Enzo, the 430's headlights and tail, the general blandness from nose back of the 612).
If the '80s and '90s can teach us anything, 21years without a championship being paramount, it is that Ferrari are not infallible, despite their recent triumphs.
Remember the Series I 330 GT 2+2, the Ferrari "Percheron"?
...And $120/ea for a freaking lug bolt is just obscene: We're not talking space travel here.

Wrong again, mister. It was noted that your opinion was stated in an offensive manner. One doesn't have to have a personal preference for a vehicle or a relationship with the owner to appreciate the loss of any Ferrari.
And since you're new and are obviously ignorant of my view of the various iterations of modern day Testarossa, I will enlighten you to the fact that I am not a fan. I've done what I could to discourage the addition of one to the family and I tell anyone who asks that it's one of the ugliest cars ever to be graced with the Prancing Horse. However, I would never proclaim that the world is better for having lost one.
It's not about me, it's about the history of the marque.

Better to be mistaken for new then recognized as utterly lacking in reading comprehension. How anyone who's been here for more than a month could miss my aversion to the styling cues of the TR is beyond me.

When you get your own car, and, more importantly, a bit of perspective, then you'll have some credibility.
