Yesterday was the annual Gauthier Classic and Concorso event in Scottsdale
Arizona.  Perfect weather, lots of fantastic cars, who could ask for more.
Here is the link to the details of the event:

http://www.ferrariaz.com/home_body.htm

Highlights:
1)  250 GTO.  First time to see one one in person.  Wow.
2)  Ran into the previous owner of my '87 328, Bruce Baier.  I thought he
was going to shed a tear of gratitude when I let him sit in the driver's
seat of #73443 for old time's sake.  To reciprocate, he gave me the full
tour of his Porsche 356 speedster--quite an impressive piece of automotive
history.  Seemed like Bruce had his eye on Pietro's fantastic silver Dino,
maybe he is ready to rejoin the Ferraristi?
3)  Got to drive right behind an F40 on  the trip from the Gauthier Classic
up to the Ferrari luncheon and awards ceremony.  Along with 360's and
Maranello's swarming all around me, was quite the drive...screaming Italian
V8's and 12's all around, felt like I was in the midst of an F1 race.
4)  Luncheon and awards ceremony at Lynn Babcock's hanger at the Scottsdale
airpark.  Seemed rather fitting that the Ferrari's were parked alongside a
Citation jet and a Glasair high performance plane.

Took tons of pics, have provided links below.  Due to the webspace
restrictions of my net provider, had to chop up the pics into four
sections...the first 3 are of the Gauthier Classic, the last one is
specifically of the Ferrari luncheon and awards ceremony at Lynn Babcock's
hanger.

You lock the door
And throw away the key
There's someone in my head but it's not me
