Sorry to post this quasi-off topic item, but we are talking about cars that
rise up from the pack.

Has anyone come across a newsgroup or anything like it for Lamborghini's?
I've searched all over and not found a thing. Could the issue be with my
ISP?

Thanks.

PS-I'm looking for a Countach, 5000 QV or 25th Anniversary.

Thanks

alt.autos.lamborghini

...But it's quite dead, even compared to this one horse town.

www.ferrarichat.com has an area for Lambos and other Italians.

Thanks Matt. Is that you over at alt.autos.bmw?

That's the first site I've found that seems to have any traffic at all.
Someone else suggested alt.autos.lamborghini, but it doesn't show on my
ISP's lists.

Thanks to all who responded

Nope, not me.

Crap, now I gotta lurk in a Bimmer NG too, just to
make sure my good name goes unsullied... :-)

That and sharing a name with a NASCAR crewchief,
I'm gonna develop a complex...

Of course to buy. Of course if I could rent one for $500/month I'd be all
over it. (-;

Dunno. I've seen Countaches of varying years/mileage from $70k and up. Seems
around $100k is about right, but it all depends on the car.

Tiger (and T308) both know of one that _might_
be available, currently in a collection.

Jaunting about in my new M5 and having fun throwing my newly rebuilt M3
track car around the course.

So how about some "insider" info about Countach ownership?

Now you're just bragging.

Wish I could, but both 25th Anniversary Countaches that I've been in
close proximity to all these years have been garage queens. They each
had nearly zero miles on them and sat *new* (with appropriate
maintenance) from the time they were purchased to sometime last year.
Since then, the pearl red car has been sold for an obscenely low dollar
amount compared to the acquistion price. The pearl white car will
likely never be sold as Mom is entirely too fond of the way the car
looks to let it go. That being said, if someone offered enough money,
I'm sure she would consider it.

The only advice I could offer on such cars is to be sure that any money
you *invest* in them could as easily be used for mulch.
