412 actually looks good!

Yesterday I had the rare sight on the A3 of a blue 412i being followed by a
silver Daytona. They were both being driven very slowly (about 40mph) and
had insurance plates on so I guess they were being taken to a dealer. Thing
is I've only ever seen pics of the 412 and it always looked fairly
unattractive but in the flesh I was quite taken with it. Anyone here ever
owned or driven one of these?

Driven one.  Very much a cruise ship.  Very comfortable on longer
drives.  Nice motor, creature comforts are not bad.  They'll continue
to be at the bottom of the V12 heap so if you like them you'll not be
out much money (until the work needs to be done on them!).  If you
looking for a better option, the C4 is a better car of the same type.
