The front 3/4 view is very nice.

It's very pretty and looks well executed, but it's more than a just a
little like presenting a Vuillaume as a genuine Strad.

The back panel reads "308", no mispresenting.
It does sound like a Strad.

...Then it probably is well overdue for cam bearings and a belts
change.

Mark, that is the nicest you've been, about something I know you truly
abhor, in a long, long time.  I know you're not turning over a new leaf,
noting the mild dig, but that's all it was - mild!

Cheers!  And in this case, it would be a jeroboam of DRC La Tache!

No dig whatsoever.

...The funny thing about posting on usenet:  Anyone, anywhere in the
world can see it, and if anyone expects their idea to be received
without question, as Moses took the tablets, allegedly, they have to
be positively delusional.

As much as one invites approval and approbation one must expect
criticism and abhorrence.

And then there are those who expect unwavering obeisance, who should
just go f.ck themselves with a Twiglet.

>Cheers!  And in this case, it would be a jeroboam of DRC La Tache!

I'd prefer a Barolo.

Interesting, taking a Barolo over a Burgundy.  But everybody has
different tastes in wine.  And when it comes to Italians for some reason
I go for obscure Sangiovese and Piedmonte stuff.  Of course, I drool
over the great Brunellos, and I certainly would be happy to drink some
Gaja Barolo if I saw a bottle in the local wine shops that didn't cost
over $40.  Iy may be the house everybody talks about, but hey - they
make some good sh.t.

Come over for dinner next time you're in town.  I'll crack a bottle of
Gaja, make some Chicken Cleopatra, Gorgonzola gnocchi and some tiramisu.

If this is what he's talking about, count me in!

"Chicken Cleopatra- Breasts of chicken, sauteed with slipper tail
lobster, flamed with cognac in a minted mascarpone cream sauce."

From a place called Madeline's Restaurant at the Grove, 609 Highway 35,
Shrewsbury, NJ.

Hell, you make it to NJ once in awhile, don't you?  Give it a try and
let us know if it makes the grade.

As infrequently as possible.

No.

Going to NJ for food is like going to California for culture.

She's beautiful. I'm not sure if I had a GTS/B that I would consider a
conversion but its a fantastic job. Well done!

I think it looks great Bert, good job.  I especially like that you left
the 308 on there.  She looks so shiny and new.  Have you completed?
You are a very brave man, but the hard work paid off.

I think it looks pretty damn good, especially considering all the work
you put in.  As I recall, you have pretty thick skin, and you're going
to need it now, because there will be blasts levelled at you that could
be nuclear in proportion.  Godd luck!

It's not exactly like chopping up a 250 PF Coupe to fake a 250 GTO,
but it's much more like that than not at all.

Despite their econocar status and production numbers in the Ferrari
world, 308s in the real world are very special automobiles and, just
like the 250 PFs, GTEs and 330 2+2s before them, deserve a fate much
greater than butchery in the name of fashion and vanity.

I sure wish I lived in a place that looked like that.  As much as I like
this part of Arizona, it would be nice to be in a place where people
still want to have open spaces, where people take care of their lands.
This country is so f.cked up in that regard - development and greed are
the guiding forces in most US states.

And you're within miles of the coffeehouses.  What more could I ask for?

Had to drive 10 miles to find a suited location (in fact I drove and heard
funny noises and the coolant temp meter wasn't in an OK position so I made a
stop there to check on things and then decided to take some pics). In my
neighboorhood were I grew up all the places I used to play and walk the dog
are gone, houses now.

> And you're within miles of the coffeehouses.  What more could I ask for?

Miles? 100 meters. But unlike common belief, we in the Netherlands don't
have that much "coffee", I don't know anyone in person that does and the
coffeehouses are mostly visited by foreigners, germans. Though in certain
parts of my town every other house has it's greenery...(spell?)

I wasn't talking about coffee, Bert.
