Those who know Ferraris, is a 355 the same as a Berlinetta?

Thanks ...

The term Berlinetta is used on several models to describe a
coupe without a removable panel.

So some 355s are Berlinettas, but not all Berlinettas are 355s.

If you see a "GTB", "SWB", etc. the 'B' is for Berlinetta.

ex-squeeze me, but I think the latter is actually 'Short Wheel Base', is
it not? as in 250 SWB?

...and I *think* GTB is 'Great To Buy!', usually applied to a model at
the end of it's life, indicating a run-out incentive package. 'Great To
Buy!' variants usualy were packed with extras to help boost their appeal
to a wider market- such  things as custom clip-on wheel covers, animal
print seat covers, extra chrome, a sub-woofer, dual cup holder, vouchers
for free 'happy meals', that sort of thing.

So GTC would be Great to Covet?  Just a little higher priced than the
GTB and out of reach?

You rang?

GTB means (if you bought one in 2001) "Goin' to Bank".

T308
(Who can't believe that he passed on a nice yellow GTB in 2001 because
it was "too expensive")

Hmmm, and all these years, I thought the SWB was for Short Wheel Base.

And that means cars like S/N 2407, a 400SA SWB Cab, is a
"400 Superamerica Short Wheelbase Berlinetta Cabriolet"??

T308

As far as the factory was concerned, the "250 SWB" was a 250/GT
Berlinetta (Lusso or Comp) with a 2400mm wheelbase.  "SWB" is a nice
descriptor, but since they didn't speak much English in Maranello, 250
CIB (Corto Interasse Berlinetta) would have been more likely.

I think you are correct.  Here's a 456 GT Berlinetta on eBay:
