I have owned a '71 for about 15 years now and had other rear-engined Fiats
(600s) before that. Although I don't have any spare manuals lying around
right now, I do have both factory and several aftermarket manuals for it and
would be glad to look up anything you may have questions on. I also have a
few odd spare parts that I have collected over the years that I would be
willing to sell or better yet, trade.
I have occasionally seen factory manuals on e-bay (thats where I got mine).
The Haynes and Autobook manuals are very good as well. Don't even bother to
open the cover of the Chilton's- they try to cover WAY too many different
models in one book and end up giving poor information on all of them.
It is actually an extremely easy car to service and loads of fun as long as
you don't expect to go really fast. Of course in a car this size, 60Mph
feels like you are flying!
850s are world renown for rust issues, but as long as you have a fairly
rust-free shell, most other parts are still fairly readily available and
easily replaced.
