Ive never posted here but have been looking at posts daily since i bought a
12 month old Fiat Stilo 16.16v active from the Northampton branch of The Car
Shop. These people are a completely useless shower of twats and are quite
happy to take money from you and then offer no after sales service at all,
they just don't want to know. So be warned. My Stilo was fine for 2 weeks
then water was leaking and other problems occured, we stuck it on a ramp and
found that someone had bodged a hole in the radiator with filler that
started leaking, an air con pipe was snapped in half ( didn't even know it
had AC, bloke said it didn't come with AC which now seems sus) and other
problems. The car had been looked after poorly before I bought it and it's
been botched up badly just to sell on again. They don't want to know when I
speak to them, never return my calls etc. f.cking useless. I wouldn't even
like them to fix the thing as ive seen the people they employ as 'mechanics'
and i'd be suprised if any of them can even write their own name let alone
fix a car. My brother also has the same kind of problems with his Xsara that
he got at the same time as mine. He took out the warranty but now its
running like a bag of nails and they say he has to to Citroen and pay for
diagnostic himself before they will fix his car. This is what you get even
with a warranty.

So people, be warned, never ever buy a car from these monkeys.

I am in the process of building a website about our experiences with The Car
Shop and will launch it soon, it will be something like the NTL Hell site
where people can air their views etc

Please excuse my ranting & raving but after shelling out several grand on a
car like this and having grief like this I just feel frustrated.

Vehicle is not fit for purpose - it is unreasonable for a fairly new albeit
2nd hand car to have such problems, irrespective of any warranty you have
rights under various consumer acts.  Trading standards will be happy to
oblige; they just love going to war with car garages.
