How long are the air-ride shocks on the wife's '95 Explorer good for? The
message display says the system is working OK but at 148,XXX miles most
shocks would be toast.

I have 244000 kms on mine, i did have a few problems with it, i had to
change the compressor and fix a leek in a hose, but other than that, i
wouldn't change it for the world! the display wont tell you if there is
anything wrong with it, it will only tell you "air ride switch off" if you
shut the switch off. The only reason the air ride switch should be turned
off is when it's on a hoist. and when you bring it in for any repairs,
tell them you have air ride, not shuting it off before hoisting could
damage it.
