Sometimes when I open the drivers side door the dome lights do not turn
on.  If I open any other door the dome lights turn on.  I have a 1997
xlt, any thoughts?

Thanks,

There is a switch for just that purpose, it cannot be cleaned, but
take the inside panel out, move the handle you will see it. In the
short term, oepn the handle MORE than you normally would, the light
should come on.
