I noticed today during a routine check on my serpentine belt that the
tensioner cover was coming loose, this may be the cause of some "squeeling
noise" coming from under the hood. any feedback on how to repair this and
what the cost is.  It is only loose on one corner and I have tried to
"push", "pop" it back on but it was not working.

Thanks

I had the same problem on my 99 XLS and unfortunately I had to replace it,
sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
Not much you can do to fix your tensioner as far as I know...

The tensioner in my '94 broke and was rattling.  To replace it I had to
remove the alternator since the tensioner was bolted to the alternator
bracket.  It didn't take very long to do the work.  I don't remember how
much the tensioner cost, but it wasn't much.
