'95 Explorer Sport Question - Trying again

I have a '95 Explorer Sport.

Of course, that doesn't seem to be enough to participate in
this group, but I'm going to try again.

The windshield washer doesn't seem to be working properly,
in that the fluid is not being sprayed onto the windshield.

There's fluid in the reservoir, and I can hear the pump when
I press the button on the end of the handle to start the washer,
but I don't get any fluid out of the spray nozzles.

Would someone please tell me the proper troubleshooting steps
so that I can see if I can fix this myself?

Sounds like there's a line cracked, disconnected, or plugged, since you
can hear the pump? Have someone press the washer control while you give
the lines a visual inspection. You may be able to see where the problem
is. If not, start by checking for codes...

I had the same problem and found that the plastic "impeller" had stripped
off, meaning the pump was rotating but the impeller wasn't pumping any
water. Anyway, $10 for a new pump a Pep Boys fixed it.

I have had similar problems.

First follow the tube that goes from the washer reservoir to the nozzles.
Disconnect it from the nozzles and try the washer. If water comes out of the
tube, the nozzles are plugged.

If you have access to a small air pump, with the tubing still disconnected
blow air into the nozzles from the outlet side to clear any obstruction.

Worked for me.

There are lines from the pump to the nozzles. Disconnect the lines,
starting at the pump, to determine where the fluid *stops* flowing.
