96 blower motor resister location

Would someone please direct me to the exact location of the blower
motor resistor on the 96 Explorer. Also any replacement
instructions.Thank you.

Sure, It is accessed from the engine compartment just below and inboard of
the blower motor. About 6-8 inches away. Held in by a couple screws. Tough
to get at so be patient. No particular instructions. There may be some
wiring to do since connector on replacement may be different. This is where
the one for my 96X was. My temp controller was an Automatic unit. Presume
same goes for a manual unit.
