When the drivers side door is closed the door ajar light and some times
the courtesy lights will stay on  Ocassionaly even though the door ajar
light is off when driving it will come back on. this seems to happen
more often on very hot days.
Any clues at where to look? There doesnt seem to be a switch in the door
jam like older vehicles had

Thanks for any advice

That is because the switch is intregral with the door latch mech.

The door ajar switch and door open switch are both integral to the door
latch. They can be bought new from ford for about $25 each and replaced be
tearing everything apart. Some of us had the same problem and solved them by
spraying a lot of aerosol cleaner like WD-40 all around and in the latch and
then opening and closing the door a bunch of times. You might get lucky.
It's a real pesky problem when they don't work right. Affects so many things

Thanks for the good words
I just sucked it up and tore the door apart and bought a new switch easy
to replace once the trim is off
