I want to tow a significant distance a boat and trailer weighing about
8,000 to 9,000 pounds with my 1973 Ford pick-up, which has about 60,000
actual miles.  The plate on the door, which I can't decipher, reads:
F10YPM80143
Max. GVW 4,800
Model F102
Trans G
Axle 02
Cert. net HP 151
RPM 4000
DSO 58

Is this possible, or am I asking for trouble????

Thanks.

I'd recommend renting a U-Haul. That truck isn't suited for that much
weight. That's got lawsuit written all over it.
