I have a 2002 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer 4WD V6.  After about 100,000 miles
the 4wd does not work anymore.  I cannot select 4wd full or 4wd low any
more also.  I looked at all the associated fuses and they seem to be OK.
I was told that it is most likely the engagement solenoid but wanted to
get some opionons.  In addition, I wanted to know where the solenoid is
located on the explorer.

Thanks,

Do your 4wd lights prove out at start up? If so it may be the shift
motor. If not, it is probably the 4wd control module.
