I was interested in purchasing a new radio for my '01 Sport, but hate
the pocket look of a single din radio.  Has anyone successfully
installed a Double-Din sized radio into the slot for an Explorer Sport,
and if so what brand?

I installed a pioneer avic-d1 in my 2000 you will have to make some slight
modifications to the radio bezel and get a double din mounting bracket but
after that any double din radio will fit
