Hi all you mechanics out there?

Wife has a Ford Fiesta automatic. When cold the vehicle stalls when it comes
to a stop.

I didn't think it was possible to stall an automatic.

Any ideas what's wrong.

TIA.

DAB.

Well what year is this Fiesta and how many miles on it.

One component that will definetely cause this problem when it fails is
the EGR Valve.

BTW,  you do know this is a Ford Explorer newsgroup right?

Good luck.

Sam in Raleigh.

Don't know if it happens on Fiesta's but on some of the Chevy's that
will happen because the lock up torque converter fails to unlock when
you stop.  If it doesn't unlock the engine cannot continue to run if
the car is not moving.
