I have a 1998 Ford Explorer Limited w/175k miles. A couple of days ago,
I lost my turn signals abruptly. At first, I thought it might be a
fuse, but the guy at the parts store suggested that it was probably the
flasher module. He said it probably plugs into the console under the
dash somewhere. Well, I looked under there (not an easy thing to do for
a big guy) and couldn't find anything plugged in down there that didn't
have wiring attached. I even did a little blind exploring, but nothing
felt like a smooth, rectangular box like my replacement part. If you've
been there, done that, please help me out with as much information as
you can think of.
Thanks in Advance!

It's on the steering column. You will have to remove the trim to get there.
