I'm looking at a trailer hitch that came off a 1996
Ford Ranger to fit my 1993 Ford Explorer. Any
chance that it'll fit? I know it's the same chasis
(is it?) but for different model years? Hitch is
a TSC V5 Shelton. Thanks!

Looks like they're different, based on Drawtite part numbers.  I don't
know what the difference is.  You might check them out locally; I
bought mine from UHaul, but there are a lot of retailers that stock
them.  The differences may be minor; maybe only differences in hole
locations?

If the width on the mounting points is the same and only the holes are
different, I would drill the hitch to fit.
