Radius Arm Bushings---Need Advice

I recently changed the bushings on my '93 explorer with Dealer parts
and now the clunking when I brake is worse than ever.

I'm wondering if I could have put the nylon spacers on the wrong way
around.  The ones I replaced had the cup facing the nuts so I put the
new ones on that way but it looked as if the cup side should really be
facing the front of the truck.

Does anyone know which way they should be facing and/or any other
reasons why I would still be getting the noise?

TIA... J.D.

It's been a while since I did mine but I seem to recall that the
dealer parts did not include all the parts, like one of the big
washers or something.  Sorry I can't recall more but it does seem like
when I put it together it needed another washer to really snug up
tight.  I also replaced one side of the cross brace it mounts to
because the hole in it was a little worn looking.  The whole thing is
a piss-poor design.
