4wheel drive light

i have a 97 explorer and we just had a 18inces of snow..so i put her in
4wheel auto and now the 4wheel auto and 4wheel low lights are flashing,

any ideas??

If it is flashing 6 times then waiting and flashing 6 times again, then it
is an indicator that a code exists in the 4WD computer.

Speed sensors in transfer case probably gunked up.  Remove and wipe off,
replace gear lube before reinstalling or you'll be cleaning them again
soon.
