What to buy ? a 4 cyl SUV ?
My sister lives in the San Fran Bay Area, CA. She has 2 children who
are 16 and 14. So they are quite tall.
She is looking for a 4 cylinder SUV that will accomodate her kids
comfortably in the rear seat.
She does not need a 4x4 / all AWD.
She was told that she would have to buy 6 or 8 cyl SUVs if she wants
more leg room at the back for her kids.
Are there any 4 Cyl SUVs that have the leg room at the rear seats for
her children ?
Any suggestions ?
Thanks

Don't know about SUV backseats, but the new Nissan VERSA seats a 6'3''
240lbs person nicely

My SO has a 2007 Toyota RAV4 with a four cylinder engine. It has a very
large back seat. It is essentially a Camry Station Wagon. My Sister has an
Escape. It is a little smaller than the newer RAV4, but still has plenty of
room in the back for children or even adults. It is available with a 4
cylinder engine. I owned a Saturn Vue with a four cylinder. The back seat
was more than adequate for my 16 years old son (he is 6 foot tall). Best
idea is for your Sister and her children to visit the car lots. I suspect
the RAV4 will be the best choice since it is the larger of these three.
