2002 exp.headlight sensoe

My 2220 xlt headlight sensor switch wont turn off the lights in the day
time,also in the day if I leave switch in the auto. position the mileage
lights wont display.   Help me with this?

With the autolamp switch in the "on" position, dash lights and other
displays will dim in accordance with the setting of the instrument cluster
brightness control. As for not turning the headlamps off in the daytime...
well, the switch is in the autolamp position....

Other than that, info on the 2220 models is a little skimpy...
