95 Door Keypad Issue

Keyless entry has stopped working from the remotes and the door keypad has stopped responding. The key fobs have been getting erratic for a month or so and the other night my son let the batter run down. Now the neither the key fob nor the door keypad will work.

Is there a way to reset things and get them all taking again. Assuming the internal system controlling this didn't go bad at about the same time as my son let the battery run down.

TIA

This is quite common with these vehicles. Most likely the RAP module
(which controls the keyless entry system) has become damaged due to
static electricity build up.  The only way to fix it is to buy a new
RAP module.  You will also need to ground the passenger seat to the
rail it travels on to prevent it from happening again.  My keyless
entry stopped working about 3 months ago, I found it easier and
cheaper to live without it.

Why?

I'm not disputing your response, just curious about how the
passenger seat fits into this problem.  Thanks.

Just got back. Thanks for the answer. Car has not been used since I posted the above until today. (Out of town.) When my wife got home today she announced that the cruise control was not working. I'll look at fuses tomorrow but if they are OK any ideas?
