Hi all,

The standard tyres "Goodyear" on our AUIII are really giving me the sh.ts.
The noise from the fron wheels is dreadful!

Has anyone found a nice quiet tyre for these cars?

I put some new Hankooks on an EB recently (Not the silica ones ).Really
noticeable how quiet they r.First time  I have had Hankooks.
Anyway get some other opinions but do chek them out as they r a bit non
mainstream at the moment

Just saw your post.

Do you get a humming steering column at high speeds such as when overtaking?

No Jim, a growling noise from the front tyres, at all speeds, similar to
that on a 4WD.

They should not be so noisy as to have a sound like you describe, but I have
had a noise like that when the wheel alignment was knocked out by a big bump
with a gutter and caused toe out at the front.  Excessive toe in can cause
problems, but is generally not noticed as much as excessive toe out.  Just
something to check first because it is cheaper.
