Folks,

I've just bought an EF Fairmont which runs perfectly however I've only
now noticed that the oil pressure guage is always at maximum while the
engine is running, even at idle. Could it be something as simple as a dicky
oil pressure sender or am I looking at something more serious ???

You will probably find the oil pressure switch sender wire has either
come-off the sender and is touching the block, or there is an earth (ground)
getting onto the OP sender line to the gauge.

Sounds like the guage is stuck, tak eit off and clean and check for green
sludge around the engine connection, a sign it was parked under trees or
such, same thing happened to my EA. Pretty simple thing to clean.
