Hi the workshop manual I have here does not say how to remove the rear
brake discs.
ive removed the caliper (not much help from the manual here either), and
removed the big screw in the middle of the disc it said to remove, but
when I pull on the disc it wont slide out.
what else do I have to remove?
its for a EA falcon 88 model Wagon and im putting the disc onto a EA
falcon 90 model Sedan (series II I think)
by the way, will a 88 model EA Wagon's brake disc's fit onto a 90 model
EA sedan?

You need a special puller, slide hammer (use inside central hole
not on outer edge or you may break the disc) or rubber hammer to
loosen it.

EA's use the disk caliper for the handbrake and the OP has removed the
caliper, EF onwards you would be correct :)

As for removing them, I have done it years ago and I don't recall
having any problems and I had no special pullers or tools.
Its possible that the disk is just wedged on and needs some persuasion
after removing the retaining screw, possibly get a block of wood and
lightly hammer the wood around the perimeter of  the disk to work it
loose.

Not sure about wagon to sedan swapping, pulling a wheel of each and
giving them an eye balling should tell you though.
