on the side of my fuel tank there is a circular device that has an
electrical cable going to it and what looks like a fuel hose going from
it. If I disconnect this fuel hose from the joint up ahead (just behind
the wheel) and point the fuel hose into a bucket, then crank the engine,
will this cause all of the fuel to drain out?

I need to get the fuel from my car as someone put something down the
tank they should not have. I couldnt locate the drain plug.

It is a Ford EA falcon 88 model.

prob not as the ECU needs a pulse (ie running engine), to allow power to the
pump.

Remove sender and pump, then use a easy syphon from autobarn on it.

Dunno kno wif it is a wagon or sedan, as both have different setup. The
wagon, jack car up, remove rear passenger wheel and look at fuel pump.
Unclip the retainer clip and move slowly anti clockwise, make sure first ya
have a container to hold what fuel remains in the tank, once the furl pump
assembly is removed, the fuel will pour out very quickly, as the fuel runs
out, let your jack down th will get most of the fuel out of the tank. As for
the sedan, could be the same for a wagon, how-ever i know the fuel tank
layout is different.

Good luck

The wagon is placed at the side of the tank, the sedan is placed on top of
the tank, the only way to remove whatever it is in the tank is to take the
tank out of the car.
