You can get the bits new, but they arn't cheap and not always in stock
as I found out.
What you can do is have it drilled and bolted like I did, this cost
about an hour of a mechanics time vs a good few hundred to r/r the
dash/weld the pedal box. I had this done on my EF XR6, from memory the
plate the breaks its weld was bent back into position and held with
clamps, 4 or 5 holes drilled around the clutch pivol, ie thru the
main/plate and nuts with locking washers on both sides used. Worked
beautifully

thanks for the replies guys. another question i have is will a EB V8 manual
pedal set bolt onto my EA? my brother saiod he could get his hands on one
but he's in geelong and i'm in canberra so I can't look at it to see. this
is the second one in three years cause the missus likes to put her foot on
the very left of the pedal and holds it in at the lights instaed of putting
it in neutral and taking her fott off the clutch.

Can't answer for sure but I assume it would. Maybe try calling a Ford
dealer and get the part numbers to be sure.
Have you checked the firewall for cracking too?

The firewall was strengthened before i bought the car. i found out because
it looks no where near like factory and asked the mech i got to look it over
said it was fairly common as the firewall wasn't very strong. so i guess i'm
playing fix the weakest link (again). talked to my local ford spares guy and
he said the eb pedal set should bolt straight in. i'm going to get the thing
over engineered so the car will fall apart around it.
