It says in the manual that the valves dont need to be ground in, but i feel
they do. Any ideas on this subject ?? Also is it the best to push pistons
thru the top of block or out thru the bottom ?? Thanx folks

Haven't heard of removing pistons from the bottom, tho its theoretically
possible with the crank out I suppose.

Valve grinding is supposed to be done to ensure the seal is correct. The
seat should leave a witness mark in the middle of the valve face, with
clearance on both sides equal in width.

I would only lap valves in if the seats have been re-cut (and relieved to
stop pocketting), otherwise lapping them in can cause the valve face to go
concave due worn seats in the head.

Opinion only    ~(8^I)

Jason
