Hi,
I am looking for a clue, in desperation. I've got a Ford Falcon
AU,1999, done 105k and its been always reliable. It is about a couple
of weeks that I keep hearing a kind of clicking noise from the back
when turing the vehicle. Ford has already checked it, and not
surprisingly didn't pick the noise and charged me around 60 bucks,
labour cost. The noise is quite annoying + you hear it when turning
left very slowly. A mechanic who recently replaced the break pads seen
the car while I was driving it on a flat surface and said it MIGHT be
the diff. I think he got sick of me after me harrasing him 2-3 times.
Does anyone know what is wrong with the car/please let me know if you
know any reliable and knowledgable mechanics in Brisbane.

Regards,Sirous

Check for worn or out of shape rear shockies, some times when stress is put
of older shockies they click when they touch the sides of the cylinders. Had
the same prob with my EA wagon. Could be  but could be not.

The only thing which changes when turning is the diff side-gears turn a
lot,.....maybe has a chipped tooth? Shouldn't cause to much drama in that
event. Also in that case, the clicking noise would be a constant period or
frequency.
