Wheeltrims Falcon AUII

Just recently bought two new tyres for the front of Falcon and within two
weeks have had two flat tyres on front right-hand side. It seems that while
driving the wheeltrims rotate anti-clockwise pulling back on the wheel
valve shearing it off and causing leakage. The trims fit very tight, and
are hard to rotate by hand.

Has anyone ever come accross this problem with their AUII? The Trims are
the genuine Ford trims for the make and model. Have rung Ford and they've
never heard of this happening before. They did offer to have a look though.

Obviously have removed trims from front wheels... Didn't want to have
another flat. Might have to upgrade to mag wheels next year.

Thinduke.

I had a set of metal Ford trims on an old Val which 'walked' around the rim
causing a similar problem. Has something to do with the wheel dimensions. If
the wheel is not the one the trim is intended for, there maybe small
differences in the gradient of the stamping where the trim lugs attach. This
means every time you corner, your steel rim flexes (as its turns) where it
meets the road allowing the trim to move. Its a PIA, thats for sure.
