hey there,
are there any people in Western Australia here that can recommend someone to
fix my EA.  I think the head is blown - there is water coming from the head
on the exhaust side of the engine (left) doesnt seem to be the core plugs,
doesnt seem to be the heater pipe.  after removing the exhaust manifold i
could see using a mirror moisture coming from the head gasket.

No water in the oil

Has anyone used chemiweld for this problem ? any other suggestions ?

thanks

Alan

replacement with a used head and new bolts...

With the exhuast manifold off describe the moistre  there is a pip running
from the water pump around the manifold also could just be a blown head
gasket, is it mfii or carb engine ??  Could be some thing so small pays to
get some one to look at it, when you take the oil cap off, is there any
whitish sludge around the top ??  does the car sound rough when it idles.
when you say water  is it any where near a welsh plug ?? try and trace the
water, EA welsh plugs werent the best in the 98 model, the 90 model they
used a better metal

Hope this has helped

sure it could be the gasket our the head itself... its a fuel injected model
1990 EA Anniversary 3.9L editiion - no water in the oil - just going through
water like crazy. - the moisture seems to be coming from the gasket area..

car runs smooth.. - water not near the core plugs from higher up running
down onto the core plug.. doesnt seem to be from the heater pipe.
