hmmmm brakes that are bigger than the v8 supercars use, I wonder how much
those pads cost to replace! but if your handing over $90,000 for a domestic
product, I don't think you'd be worried about that
Love it, except for that thing on the bonnet bulge, its bloody fugly, get it
off there!!

Stuff that - Ford is working on a FPV XR6 Turbo which will be released next
year with 280 kW. If the current 240kW Turbo beats all but the 290kW GT &
GT-P (and only justs loses to the last two) then expect this FPV XR6 Turbo
to take over the mantle as the fastest production Falcon.

If they could sort out a decent drive train it could happily run at that
now, rather than detuned to save the pissweak 5 speed.

That will be fixed with the BA series II model - the FPV XR6 Turbo will be
offered with a six speed manual option

Probably just wishful thinking :)
Still, it'd be very *nice* wishful thinking though, as the current
transmission is absolutely piss poor...

Noddy.

Not so certain about the 6 speed auto - will ask next month when I get back
to work

Update for you Bill. For BAII this year (3rd quarter release) the 6-speed
manual will be available on all FPV models only. The remainder of the
trannies & gearboxes remain unchanged.
12 months after BAII a 6-speed auto will be available on all premium models.
The 4-speed auto will be retained only on the poverty pack.

Are you f.cking kidding me? They're going to continue to release cars with
that piece of sh.t T5 box?
Obviously, the upper management at Ford never drive any of their own
products, or they'd see to it personally that the current 5 speed is dropped
from the range as soon as possible.
There are *ride on mowers* with nicer gearboxes than this dog....

Noddy.

That is 100% confirmed. And I agree with your comments re the T5 - I have
one in my V8 BA XT sedan and it sucks badly!

Due to my proximity to Ford I am not at liberty to say - however I can
confirm that this is NOT a rumour! If you do not believe me then save this
message until the BAII is released next year.

Have to ask about that one too - I only know about the FPV XR6 Turbo as I
spoke to a work colleague recently who is working on that program.

Can't beat the sound of a V8 though :) Would be my choice any day :)

I really like the interior. The orange and black looks great.
What happened to the spoiler?
Cheers,
