Where does one start looking for coolant leaks ? lost a liter of coolant in
a week, but its done several hundred kilometers, apparently its had a new
head gasket and all that crap professionally done within the last 12 months,
so im hopeful that its only a hose leaking somewhere, the surge tank cap
looks like its never been changed and I noticed that the surge tank hose was
all crunchy with scale on the inside. runs fine & drives well - I really,
really hope its not the head!!!!

I want to install a coolant level low sensor - she's female -, I'll assume
the plug is there for it, it'd be the one with the blue jumper on it? I
disconnected it but no light came on the dash, I suppose by default they
don't install the globe ?

also the diff is leaking, the whole thing is wet with oil and has oil drops
forming at the bottom of it. I'll assume this is a common issue - its at
191,000k's.. what is involved with repairing it?

Another thing is the rear door handle doesn't work properly on the outside,
who's the dickhead that thought of riveting all that sh.t in the way so you
cant access it ! what would that be, busted handle or just bushes etc ? it
works if you pull on it to almost breaking point.

other than that, its got no issues, apart from worn out window run rubber -
hard to wind up and down - the felts worn though so its glass rubbing on
rubber at one point and its really hard to move.

top it and check in 200 klicks , if its the radiator or hose if its
green water then look for the stain .

clean the diff and look in a couple of days , then see where its leaking
could be the pinion seal ?.
that's an easy one

> Another thing is the rear door handle doesn't work properly on the outside,
as in sorta works ?.
if so then pull the door trim off and spray the workings with a 50/50
kero and machine oil mix..
that usually fixes it.

if its flopping then a new handle

I've already told her FFs top up the coolant and keep an eye on it, $50 says
tonight when I see it, she hasn't done a damn thing.
