Thanks for that Brad,
I have a look and noticed four relay next to the battery. I gave them a
jiggle and the lowbeam started working.
So, it was just a case of dirty contacts.

Another thing that usually causes this is the wiring on *non* genuine
headlights is cheap lol so you have to check they aren't touching each
other. This is inside the actual headlight itself, accessible from the rear.
