Who has seen/felt benefits from more high end spark plugs, such as Bosch
Super 4's, NGK Iridium's.. etc.. .

Does anyone have opinions about all these high end plugs?

A knowledgeable Supercheap Autos assistant was helping me with Bosch plugs
for my lpg EL.  I asked him the same question re iridium type plugs etc, &
he explained that they do last quite a bit longer (forgotten how much
longer), BUT that they were fitted as standard to only some of the cylinders
of  a forgotten car make where accessibility was a true bummer (y'know, have
to just about pull the engine to check the plugs).  The rest of the plugs in
the same engine were standard, i.e 4 iridiums together with 4 standards.

NGK's I fitted soon burned out even tho the NGK manual said they're ok for
Fords......the Bosch's have done 50,000 & still look clean & good from lpg,
& will be used further.

Ya really have to take care who you listen to in the auto store.....the same
store, but an earlier time I was sold those NGK's upon the advice from a
less knowledgeable & self assured store person: my time & expense!  :)

i know the V6 magna runs 3 iridium plugs on the rear bank because they are
covered by the intake
manifold and you have to remove that to change the plugs.....
front plugs change at 40 thou and all the plugs at 80 thou...

The vehicle in question would be a V6 magna. You can't access the two rear
plugs without doing a days work.

it`s 3 rear plugs and takes about 3? hours to change those 3......

Difference is highend plugs need to be changed less. If you go to a
mechanic? They'll change them at service intervals anyway. If you service
yourself it's worth it. If you don't service yourself? Don't bother.

I choose my plugs by reading them with magnifying glass
