EA gearbox

My EA gearbox, auto 4spd, keeps slipping and going through fluid, any ideas?

does it leave a puddle  ?.

no it doesn't, there is no sign of any leaks

then make sure its filled correctly and see if it still drives ok , it
might be low or just need a service

"Evening folks;
                        Might pay to check the radiator connections as
well, as some of the early EA's developed a pressure leak where it couples
to the radiator. The later model EA's had pressure snap connections and
solved teh problem. As for slipping, it could need a service and new filter
mine seems to have hassles changing gears, so i know when i am due to change
it. Actually i should go by the speedo. There is also on some of the early
EA's a connection near the firewall that joined the 2 pipes leading to the
radiator, as pressure could be ya final problem.
