Hello,
I was wondering if anyone knows if a small batch of XR GTs were produced in
early 1968 fitted with 302's?
I've never read anything about XR's fitted with 302's but apparently there
was a small batch produced just before Ford switched to the XT.
Thanks.
Andrew.

Hi;
I'v eheard tales about Ford using 302 Windosrs in the XR, but really
dont know, best bet would be to email Ford in Melbourne to confirm this
story. I have seen a XR GT with a 302 Windsor V8, but many years ago in
Wollongong and it seemed to be 100% genuine. Also stories have been told
that they used the carry on v8's from the 2 door coup also 302 windosr, but
dont think it was a all aussie ford.
Good luck
Peter

Not as far as I'm aware.
Every XR GT was fitted with a 4 barrel 289, and only the XT ran the 302
Windsor.
