laking ZL brake censor.

Hi guys.

I have a ZL Fairlane, 1985 model with the efi motor.

The small sensor just below the brake fluid reservoir has started to leak
brake fluid. When the brakes are depressed fluid oozes out the end of the
sensor. No problems I thought, I will go and remove one off a wrecked ZL
Fairlane.

I did but it leaks as well. It could be coincidence or is it something I am
doing wrong or something I have not noticed??

What if I was to remove the sensor and just screw in a small bolt with the
same size thread?

Any idea's?

I would if I knew that would fix the problem.

I would like to make sure that is the problem and not something else I have
thought of.

If it is located in the actual master-cyl, then it should be replaced in
short-order. If its in the resevoir, I'm suprised it oozes when the brakes
are operated as there is no pressure there.
In either case, it would be better to replace it. Fitting a bolt requires
some-sort of sealing washer or maybe an 'O'-ring,...to dodgy an area to mess
with imo.

Good comment, and I agree.

I'll go buy a new sensor and see what happens.
