Am putting AC into an XY 302 Fairmont. I would rather not put a thermo fan
into the car as I am going to fit a 3 core radiator. Is ther an option to
change the 4 blade fan for something that pulls a bit more air?

Why not put in a thermo fan connected to the A/C compressor clutch circuit?

There is, but why would you want to?

The *smartest* way by far to have decent cooling potential *and* maximum
airflow for the air conditioning system is to use a couple of electric fans.
One to keep the engine cool, and the other configured so it works in
conjunction with the air conditioner compressor.

Best of both worlds and your air conditioner will be brilliant.

Engine driven fans are a piss poor second best...

Noddy.
