You never see or hear of the Ford XC Cobra's anymore.

Is there a reason? Have their numbers diminished that much?

A few years back you used to see them driving around on a regular basis.

Its been a long time since 77/78 and those that have survived become
collectors editions (saw one advertised for $25k), only bought out on a
sunny Sunday.

Last year was the 25th anniversary and there were a few events around Melb,
including a gathering of about 50 in Geelong. Some are in excellent nick
including some goods restos - there was one used in an ad recently (some
cleaner from memory).

Couple of theories...

They are collectable
They are prone to rust
They were built in limited numbers (400?)

BG, just rembered where I saw it (same spec as yours);

Item number: 2478513481 on Ebay

bloody expensive if you ask me even though it looks fairly neat (not the
factory 5 slots unfortunately).

I've even noticed regular XA,B,C coupes are becoming rarer, and more
expensive, and probably in poorer condition.

I will get one (soon as I finish building a new house, and buy the Mrs a new
car).
