I have an SR AU11 with 16" wheels that has done approximately 37,000kms and,
despite regular attention, I will probably have to replace tyres within the
next 5,000 kms.  The vehicle is currently running on original Dunlop Monza
200 tyres but I have never been happy with the road handling (steering feels
"loose" on the road). I drove a similar model Futura that had excellent road
feel so I am looking for suggestions as to what tyres I should use on
replacement? Any suggestions from AU11 owners who may previously have
overcome this problem will be appreciated.

The dunlop sport 300E's are good. I used to run them on my EL and I've now
got them on a 12 sec XB sedan. They hold very well for 205/65/15's.

I am sure you can get these in 16's.
