Travelling through western NSW later this month and I've heard the locusts
are out in plague proportions. Can anyone recommend something to protect
front end/bonnet/radiator from these little nasties.

Ford will sell you both a insect screen for the radiator and
Perspex bug deflectors for the bonnet and so will the
aftermarket suppliers but most likely at less cost.
