gday, my mate has an xy Fairmont with a 250ci six and wants to convert it to
a 351. I understand that the brakes will have to be changed to fit the
manufacture specs.Could these be sourced another year falcon or just xy.
does anyone know exactly what is needed for this conversion??
thanks

From XR onwards, you can virtually swap and change any Falcons brakes,
probably best to get a power boosted disk/drum setup from a later
model, say V8 XC/D, you could go 4w disk but having owned 2 LTD's with
this config and XB/C/D disk/drums I prefered the latter.
Just make sure you match the master cylinder and rear slave cylinders.

Agree, the 4wdiscs are not much to write home to mum about.
