Hi. I would like to know if anyone has installed a manual rack and
pinion kit in a 1964 Falcon V-8.  I have a sean delivery, and I would
like to know how hard the job was.  Did it steer easier or harder
after the conversion.  Thanks   Lorne

Pretty simple job mate, i jacked up my car, used jack stands to allow me to
work under the car, blocked both back wheels, removed and cleaned away all
the years of grease and gunk. Remove old unit, and replace new unit as per
removal, have ring spanners and such, never liked open enders or shifters,
plus torque wrench. Presto job is done. Might pay to inspect your front end
while your down there, and maybe a wheel alignment in the future. It might
seem little weird at first having much better steering, if the old unit was
badly worn, you'll feel what i mean.

Good luck

Peter

Not really, just felt som ewhat weird being able to steer straighter with
out any severe vibrations and wheel wobble, The actual unit i used wasnt the
precise model and proper unit to fit my car, rather so a much easier turned,
but to skip 3 models of any model car, i found out dosnt do any damage and
still gives 99.9% proper steering. Just pays to remember what steps you took
to remove and replace.

Good luck

Peter
