Hi all,
I have a 3.9l CPI EB 1991 Sedan. I want to change it to MPI and from what i
know (which is not much) it is an easy job. My question is is it posible to
use the  intake / injectors / loom from an EF / EL Falcon and if so is it
plu and play or do I have to cut/ modify anything including loom

Many thanks
Chris

EF on use variable length intake runners, there is no facility for this in
your EB.
there are some solutions for this, like an electronic module that is
activated by revs to open and close a valve to allow/forbid vacuum from
getting to the diaphragm.

Are these easy to get or is it something i will need to make / modify

and plug stright in ?

Thanks

A fair few changes, EB uses EECIV which has outputs for gangfire
injection (ie 2 groups of 3), EF uses EECV which has 6 outputs plus
the previosuly mentioned output for the dual plenum (although you
don't have to run it)  so to make it easy you would want to get the EF
computer, which will then introduce another problem with the
immobiliser.

Actually probably the best thing to do is jump on the fordforums.com
and look in the Garage, one guy has done the EF - EB conversion and a
few people have done the CPI - MPEFI conversion, I think there is even
a step by step guide somewhere around.

No conversion like this is ever easy. I converted an XF to EFI and it is a
fair bit of work, in fact it is still a work in progress -several years
later.

Since you have an EB, I'd stick with the EB MPI (Ghia?) or ED. The EF had a
different spark arrangement.
